Goodleigh Cottage is situated in the heart of Goodleigh, a small, countryside village in North Devon. A 10-minute drive from the heart of Barnstaple, Goodleigh is a lovely village with a welcoming pub, The New Inn. Enjoy walks from your door and take in the countryside air before heading further afield to explore. In the bustling market town of Barnstaple you can enjoy theatre trips, nights at the cinema, retail therapy and delicious meals at a range of pubs and restaurants to suit all culinary requirements. The Tarka Trail, which is largely traffic free, passes through Barnstaple and is great for walking your pup or heading out on a bike to Fremington Quay, Instow or Braunton.

Goodleigh is just 25 minutes from the beach at Saunton Sands where surfing, swimming and seaside dining await. The long, golden sands welcome those with paws all year round, as do sections of Woolacombe Beach (35 minutes) and Sandymere (25 minutes). Tread the South West Coast Path for scenic stick chases and breathtaking views; Baggy Point, Lynton and Lynmouth, and Abbotsham Cliffs are great starting points for a hike and are all within a 35-minute drive of your door. Exmoor National Park (20 minutes) is a wonderful place for a hike with wild swimming spots, ponies and panoramic views - make sure to include a cream tea at one of the many tea rooms hidden within the park.
